Thank you for reaching out to us.
In the HTML version, we use datatables.net. However, in the Vue version, we handle datatables using our custom component and it doesn't support sub-tables.
We plan to migrate to Datatables.net Vue solutions in future releases, which offer the same amount of available features. To get started with Vue datatables, you can refer to their official documentation and the code in the Metronic HTML version.

I understand, however there are a lot of responses here about this topic (datatables with vue) and most of them are a year or more. I was just trying to get a feel whether this will be years, months, or weeks.

Sorry for the delay on this.
In our Vue version, we already have a component that covers all the main datatable functions. Additionally, there is a jQuery solution available in our HTML version that can be reused in Vue. Once we will prepare a better solution we will release it.
