Why so confusing to get a local copy working, with Angular.

Following the instructions is confusing.

I download from KeenThemes, but then there are instructions to also download from google drive and I don't know why or what the difference is.

I follow the installation instructions:
https://keenthemes.com/metronic/tailwind/docs/getting-started/installation
Which builds it, but then dosen't run it, or display a url that it's running on?

So then you can browse the site from the file system via the dist folder, I don't seem to be able to run it from a web server using vs code, using the commands as they only seem to build and not run.?

Then I want to intergrate Angular to see how those componenets work, even if only an example, so I download the github project from here:
https://github.com/keenthemes/metronic-tailwind-html-integration
I follow the instructions from here, as the repos instructions seem out of date:
https://keenthemes.com/metronic/tailwind/docs/getting-started/integration/angular

I do all the copying etc, and get it running but now all the links are missing with error:
Cannot GET /html/demo1.html

So now, after several hours I am more confused then when I started and all I want is a working copy I can browse localy as a starter to an Angular project.

help!

Hi,

Please check back to the google drive folder and refer to the v8.2.5 folder and get the latest Angular from there.

if you need any further help please let us know.

Regards.

Hi,

If you are not to Metronic, please note that Metronic has a v8 Bootstrap-based version which is 10GB now and we have moved it to a separate download location due to download speed issues reported by users. So currently Bootstrap users can download Metronic 8 from Google Drive.

The new Metronic 9 Tailwind version you are referring to, is primarily an HTML theme, providing static HTML templates in the dist folder. The actual product is provided with static HTML templates. The build tools only handle the assets(js/css) building from the src folder.

The Angular integration is provided as a bonus, and it does not include all HTML template pages for the Angular version.

However, our Angular Guide can be useful who those who like to use the Metronic HTML+Javascript features within their Angular App environment since our JS components are compatible with SPA(React, Vue, Angular) but they are not native SPA components despite being usable in the SPA environment.

Metronic is used by over 110,000 users but it may not be perfect for every single user. In case Metronic does not meet your requirements you can request using this form. Otherwise please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Regards.

Ah', OK so I'm confusing the instructions between v9 and v8. Maybe that's what's happend. I'll go back to the v8 and just concentrate on that version, as your saying it's more Angular ready, or there's extra doco on the Angular intergration, but only for 8. ok... thx

I just noticed in the Google downlad for 8.2.5 there is no subfolder for Angular, but in version 8.2.4 there is a subfolder called Angular. Would I be correct in assuming I should just use 8.2.4 ?

thx

Hi,

Sure thing, you can download Metronic v8 from the Google Drive link provided in the readme file of the Metronic themeforest download package.

Metronic 8 has more complete Angular templates and demos.

I hope you can update your review and we will be happy to guide you if you need any further help happy.

Regards.

Review has been updated & thanks to your speedy support. :-)

Thank you so much! All the best with your project happy

Hi,

Oh, there seems to be an issue. We checking the access issue now.

Regards.
