Metronic Accessibility Support

Hey devs!

I'm considering using Metronic to develop a new SaaS product in the disability space, and it seems like a great product - I'm just a bit concerned that web accessibility/ARIA support isn't really mentioned anywhere on the site, or in the docs, and only briefly referenced in a couple of questions in the support forums.

Unless I'm completely missing something, can anyone give me some feedback on what the built-in accessibility support is for the Metronic framework, whether the modules support ARIA attributes, what kind of accessibility ratings your Metronic-powered projects are achieving, and anything else related to a11y regarding the Metronic framework?

It's ticking every single box so far, but it's be a shame if it's not going to produce an at least AA level, because then we can't justify paying the price for an end product that our potential users can't actually use.

Cheers in advance!

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us. Appreciate your feedback.

Metronic v8 now uses Bootstrap 5 and you can check its accessibility support here https://getbootstrap.com/docs/5.3/getting-started/accessibility/

However, Metronic uses lots of 3rd-party plugins and components and not all of them are compatible with accessibility standards.

Unfortunately, we can not control the accessibility support of those popular 3rd-party plugins but we will consider adding this for our in-house components and the base layout in the near future.

Hi,
recently i purchased this great theme. Unfortunately also some bootstrap components are somehow overwritten in terms of accessibility. It would be great to at least not overwrite accessibility styles that are already in place with third party plugins.

I agree with Dan that such a great template must have accessibility applied when is possible.

Cheers!

Hi ,

I've been using the Metronic themes and I'm really impressed with its capabilities. I also see the value in enhancing the platform's accessibility features.

Cheers!
