Inquiry regarding migration from Metronic 8 (Bootstrap) to Metronic 9 (Tailwind)

Hello Keenthemes Team,

I am currently using Metronic 8 in my active project. I would like to upgrade my project to Metronic 9 to take advantage of the new Tailwind CSS architecture.

1- Is there an official migration guide or a script to convert Bootstrap components to Tailwind? 2- If I need to start a fresh installation with Metronic 9, what is the best practice for migrating my existing Metronic 8 assets and custom styles? 3- Do you provide a "Starter Kit" that specifically mimics the Layout 3 structure of Metronic 8 in the new Metronic 9 version?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

Metronic 8 and Metronic 9 are based on 2 difference frameworks so the codebase is totally different. It will require you to manually update your app to use the new Metronic 9 templates and components. So Metronic 9 is considered a new template based on Tailwind CSS framework and our new ktui.io open source UI components.

I would suggest you to get familiar with Metronic 9 first and then start the migration.
Please note that Metronic 8 features and demos are not ported to Metronic 9 as Metronic 9 comes with own features and demos.

Regards,
Sean
