How to Make Changes Work in Composer?

Hi, I’m trying to use Composer, but I’m not sure how to make changes actually show up. I’ve edited the config files and run the scripts, but nothing seems to change. Has anyone figured out an easy way to get this working?

I also came across concrete-visionary.com and it gave me some ideas—can anyone suggest how to apply similar setups here?
