Hi,
I am trying to migrate my layouts made with Keen v.2 to Keen v.3.
Is there a way to set up a Sticky sidebar so that it scales as it resizes?
Documentation says that its width should be fixed.
Hi,
Yes, at the moment the width of the sticky panel should be fixed as per the not sticky mode's width.
Can you please explain your use case and we will try to find a workaround or do an enhancement to the existing KTSticky component.
Regards.
Hi, thank you for your reply.
We use very technical/scientific dashboard where the scrollable column contains the stack of charts and the sticky part is the display for rendering maps. When the users scroll the charts they see the sidebar right aside and when they click on the chart on the left the corresponding map is rendered on the sticky sidebar.
It is very important that the width of both columns remain proportional on resize and this worked just fine with Keen v2. I love the new v3 design but resizable sticky block is critical for us.
Looking forward to hearing about possible workarounds
Hi,
Are you referring to the right sidebar support in Keen v2
Just a fixed right sidebar will be good for you? We will consider bringing it back in a future update soon. Once it's released you can easily add the left sidebar support. If you need this feature urgently, please let us know and we will try to provide you with the right sidebar code for Keen v3 as soon as possible before the next update of Keen.
Regards,
Sean
Hi,
yes, all I need is that the sticky sidebar resize as the entire grid resizes.
I believe, it would be good if you let developers to choose between fixed and resizable sidebar like data-kt-sticky-flu
Meanwhile, I will be using the original Sticky-js
Hi,
Noted, we will check on that.
Regards.
