Question regarding development and sale of websites using Metronic

Our company has purchased one Metronic Extended License. Please confirm if the following scenarios require license transfers or additional purchases.

  1. Developing and selling two websites: Site A - Sold to buyer C company Site B - Sold to buyer C company (same company)

  2. Developing and selling one website, then expanding the user base: Site A - Sold to buyer C company (payment)

  • Used by user C-1 company (no payment)
  • Used by user C-2 company (no payment)
  1. Developing and selling one website, then expanding the user base: Site A - Sold to buyer C company (payment)
  • Used by user C-1 company (payment)
  • Used by user C-2 company (payment)

Our developed website does not meet the following criteria:

  • Create Open Source End Products.
  • Create an End Product with serial installations.
  • Create a stock End Product such as CMS and Application Kits.
  • Re-distribute, sell or resell the original or modified version of the Item.
  • Use in derivatives or "generators".

Hi,

Thank you for choosing Metronic!

For each additional use(free or paid projects) of Metronic you will need a separate regular license. If the end product is used by end users for free then a regular license is enough. If the end product charges the end users for the access then the extended license is required.

License transfer is not required as you can purchase the required number of licenses for each deployment as you go. The final product owners can just keep the license as proof of legal use Metronic in their project.
