Metronic 8.1.0 update - HOWTO

Hi,
today I tried to update Metronic theme from v8.0.38 to v8.1.0 within my app without success.
I reproduced exactly the same steps I always followed (from the doc, since v8.0.21) but still layout appears somehow weird (both header and aside are missing, tooltip that should be dark apperas white, etc.).

Is there any migration procedure or guide that I could follow?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

As stated in the changelog. In the Metronic v8.1 we have changed the demo1 layout markup and css class names. So you will need to update the HTML code and the src folder as well. Thus the layout should work as expected.

if you need any further clarifications please do let us know.

Regards.

I understand, nonetheless I have lots of HTML pages based on demo1 skeleton and it would take a HUGE effort to update all of them without either any cheat sheet or an upgrade guide.
A table with old classes names compared to new ones may help.

Thank you.

The change should be tracked in the code block level, we can't provide such a detailed changelog since the HTML code is long and the changes are large.

The easiest way is to integrate the changes in the layout level, by fully converting the root layout, header, menu, footer, and the content part safely can be reused from your old code.
