Future development of the Bootstrap version or focus on Tailwind version?

Hello,

We would like to convert our system to the Metronic theme and are currently checking whether/how we can implement this. The application is based on Symfony (version 4) and an old, different admin template (based on bootstrap 3.3.7) which is no longer available. I think we have more experience working with Bootstrap so far. We have not worked with Tailwind in any project yet.

After we started preparing, we released the new Metronic 9 based on Tailwind.

I'm now wondering whether it would make more sense to do it directly on the new Tailwind base.

If I see it correctly, however, many UI components are not yet available in version 9 (e.g. select2, wizards, etc.). This makes it difficult to use the Tailwind version productively at the moment.

How do you plan to further develop the themes in the future? Will the Boostrap version be discontinued and will the focus be more on the Tailwind version in the future? Or will you always offer a Tailwind version and a Bootstrap version in the future. Will the bootstrap version continue to be actively developed in the future?

Thanks for your feedback on this.

Best regards

Timo

This implies that the bootstrap version gets some attention while the Tailwind product gets slope game 3d more attention.

Deciding between future development of the Bootstrap version or focusing on Tailwind version depends on our project's needs. Bootstrap full stack training in kochi offers a more traditional, component-based approach, while Tailwind provides a highly customizable, utility-first framework. I’m leaning towards Tailwind for its flexibility and modern design capabilities, which align better with current trends.

Hi,

We are currently working on Tailwind components such as, combobox, autocomplete, wizards, etc and in the upcoming updates we will make the Tailwind verison more complete.

We will continue supporting the Bootstrap version with bug fixes, Bootstrap updates while we add those missing to the Tailwind version.

I would suggest you going with Tailwind version as Tailwind is getting more popular and defacto UI frameworks for long run.

Regards.

Hello Sean,

thank you for your answer and feedback.

This means that you focus more on the Tailwind product and neglect the bootstrap version to a certain extent.

Best regards,

Timo

Hi,

Yes, the Bootstrap version is quite complete and it has all the features to develop the modern app. We will focus on the Tailwind version and make it even more complete.

Regards.
